IEC (Import Export Code) is required by any individual who is hoping to launch his/her import/send out business in the nation. It is given by the DGFT (Director General of Foreign Trade). IEC is a 10-digit code which has lifetime legitimacy. Dominatingly shippers dealer can’t import merchandise without the Import Export Code and comparatively, the exporter trader can’t avail profits from DGFT for the export scheme, etc. without IEC.

To Get the IEC, you need to complete the IEC Registration Process, and before doing this you need to collect some required documents which will help you to complete the registration process.

  • Individual’s voter id or Aadhar card or passport copy
  • Individual’s or company’s or firm’s cancel cheque copy of current bank account
  • Copy of Rent Agreement or Electricity Bill Copy of the premise
